It is with the deepest gratitude and admiration that I write to acknowledge and celebrate both of you for your unwavering commitment, generosity, and leadership in service to others through our dental mission in Jamaica. From your early days as a dental student to your remarkable accomplishments as a general dentist, graduate periodontal resident, periodontist, multiple practice owner, leader, lecturer, and philanthropist, you have embodied the very essence of compassion and service. Over the course of more than 20 mission trips, you have consistently extended a healing hand and a caring heart to underserved, marginalized, and vulnerable populations—transforming countless lives through acts of kindness, skill, and generosity. Your dedication has inspired entire teams of dental assistants, hygienists, general dentists, and periodontists to join you in providing free, high-quality care to those most in need. Your efforts have multiplied the mission’s impact in ways that are simply immeasurable. Moreover, your words of gratitude for how the mission helped improve your clinical skills and shape your life are powerful reminders of how service enriches both giver and receiver.

Equally inspiring is Dr. Leann Burch’s extraordinary support and participation in approximately 15 missions— as a dental student, resident, and general dentist. Together, you exemplify what it means to serve with humility, integrity, and compassion. Through your service, networking, and philanthropy, you have strengthened the mission family and fostered a legacy of generosity and purpose that will uplift generations to come. In our 26 years of the mission’s history, you stand among its greatest champions—true ambassadors of love, service, and humanity. Words cannot fully express the gratitude and appreciation I feel for your friendship, kindness, and commitment. You are, without question, among the kindest and most genuine people I have ever known—people who not only fulfill their promise to their profession but who continually strive to make this world a better place for all.
